This authentic Spanish pork sausage is flavoured with paprika and garlic, which gives it a rich and spicy flavour.

Description

This artisan sausage is prepared by a family business where artisans use all their experience to create this magnificent chorizo.  Pork meats and fat are carefully selected and seasoned with paprika, garlic and salt on their own premises. After it has been created, the chorizo sausage is left to settle for at least 4 months, in natural dryers, where it develops its unique flavour and firm texture.

 

How to best enjoy this product

Keep at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before eating.

A simple way to enjoy this chorizo is to serve piled on bread accompanied by a glass of wine, or eaten by hand straight off the chopping board. You can have a bocadillo sandwich, which is another classic Spanish treat – simply cut a fresh baguette in half, and add sliced chorizo.  Either way, you can’t go wrong!

If you enjoy cooking, try the chorizo, diced and cooked with some pasta or added to omelettes or scrambled eggs.

The characteristic red color of the Spanish chorizo originates in the XVI century, when new developments of producing paprika flourished.

To be considered as a Spanish Chorizo, it must contain garlic and paprika, and be air-cured or smoked.

Martin Martin Blázquez SA is a family business nestled in the town of Muñana (Ávila), an area that belongs to the Ambes Valley and is located in the foothills of the Sierra de Gredos. The company was founded by D. Martín Martín Blázquez, a specialist in pork products, in 1960.
