Paella Fella: for the love of food and family.
It all started with holidays in Spain, discovering the amazing paella and the story behind it. This
dish certainly has the power of bringing the entire family at the same table. Nick, the founder,
took a big step when he changed careers from IT to cooking paella, but he’s never been happier!
He and his team are very passionate and enthusiastic when it comes to cooking: from teaching
you how to cook paella at home to cook for 300+ people, they can do anything. They even offer
an amazing team building experience which involves trust, fun and of course, paella!

They cover Surrey, Sussex, Essex, Kent, Hampshire, London and beyond, always happy to bring
their professionalism, great energy and amazing food to your event.

Here's a short interview we had with the owner and managing director of Paella Fella, the always smiling Nick Blythe. :)

1. What is the story behind Paella Fella?
Paella Fella began almost accidentally back in August 1995 on a private family campsite when I
was gifted my first paella pan and challenged to cook for my family. I continued cooking paellas
at community events, for charity and for friends and family until I decided to take the plunge and
make it my career. In 2009 I registered Paella Fella as a limited company and the rest as they say
is history.

2. What are your plans for this year?
We’ve exciting plans to share in 2020 with our new home delivery and corporate drop-off
services. We're busy planning for this summer’s wedding bookings, so if you’re planning your
big day get in touch to discover more about our services. Following the success of our corporate
team-building initiative we’ll be rolling this out in 2020 with some new add-ons, as well as a new
format especially designed for schools and education. Let’s get our kids cooking again!
We’ll be continuing our focus on nutrition in our menu development with a range of new
seasonal dishes planned throughout the year. Our nutrition & allergen booklets are available at
all events so that you can see exactly what’s in our food.

3. We’ve been working with you for a while now, what keeps you buying from us?
Food provenance is one of our key business priorities and it’s important to us to have authentic,
high quality Spanish ingredients for our tapas and paella menu. Our customers expect premium
Spanish food mixed in with some British fusion so we take great care to source from respectable
suppliers such as Iberica.
